The RRC Future site has been set up to help promote and support the Runcorn Rowing Club’s & Runcorn Canoe Club’s Sport Development Plan, 2011 to 2016. Our development plan aims to raise funds to develop the rowing and canoeing facilities at Runcorn Rowing Club for the benefit of the local community.
Our development plan vision is:
Rowing and canoeing will have a secure future at the Cholmondeley Road site in Runcorn which will provide on and off water training facilities accessible to all standards, abilities and ages. The facilities will be a centre for recreational activity on the long stretch of the river Weaver between Marsh and Dutton Locks. The facility will be a regional centre of excellence for rowing and canoeing at all levels, running regionally important annual events, hosting training camps and visiting crews wishing to train for important events, and producing athletes at national and international standard.
In the long term (beyond the current development plan) we are aiming to build a new clubhouse with the capacity and facilities we need for a sustainable future.
We welcome your support whether through joining in our activities, a financial donation or volunteer time on fundraising.
